Nintendo Wii Christmas Availability?

As I write, I’ve just checked over 10 online stores here in the UK for the Nintendo Wii Christmas availability. Unfortunately, none of the top on-line stores in the UK have any Wii’s available whatsoever. Some web sites don’t even list the Wii for back-ordering, although they list all the other consoles, such as the Playstation 3.

If you planned on purchasing a Wii for Christmas then you may well be disappointed.

Some stores I did try claimed to have the Wii in stock, but have inflated their prices by up to £120 for the basic console! One well known high street store only had one Wii bundle available at £349.95. There are also several traders on eBay doing the same thing. 

If you search the price comparison site Kelkoo you will get an idea of some of the rip-off prices now appearing.

I would not suggest paying over the odds. If you want to pre-order a Nintendo Wii, use a reputable online store, or go down to local high street and ask when they are next getting stock.  If you do use an online store, I would suggest you contact them first to see if they can guarantee delivery before Christmas.

As more and more people realise that the Wii Christmas availability is disappearing fast, more backorders will be placed and your chances of getting one will disappear very quickly. Even though any sort of Wii availability before Christmas is looking a bit grim, there may be better deals after Christmas if you’re prepared to wait. However, for many parents try telling that to the kids on Christmas day!
