For Nintendo Wii gaming fans, Resident Evil 4 had been one of the longest awaited games in gaming history. Promising to be better than any of its predecessors, the new edition boasted smarter enemies, better graphics and fantastic game play.

But did it deliver?

What to Really Expect From the Game

So was Resident Evil 4 well worth the wait…It certainly was!

With various nominations and awards under its belt, Resident Evil 4 has successfully managed to impress gamers around the world. With Amazing game play and a variety of new options within the game, it has managed to improve the survival horror genre and take it to a whole new level.

The graphics are absolutely fantastic and the new game play options have really helped to improve the visual experience. You can now take aim at your enemies before you shoot and you can see behind the camera too which allows you to move around with a better intuitive.

What really makes the game better however is the fact that the enemies have been made a lot smarter than they have been previously. With their new artificial intelligence they are harder to kill and they are a lot better at deadly attacks. This means that you really do have to have your wits about you if you want to defeat them and stay safe throughout the game.

The enemies are also new to the game and they are a completely different breed altogether. It is the introduction of these new enemies that forces the game to be more difficult yet more interesting. The story behind the game is also gripping. Leon S. Kennedy is back as a federal agent. The government has managed to keep the zombie problem under control for years. However the President’s daughter gets kidnapped six years on and when Leon goes to investigate he is taken straight back to the horror that he lived through six years ago and this time the danger is a lot more threatening than ever before.

It is recommended when you play the game that you save it as regularly as you can. You will find a number of typewriters around the game and that is where you save it. So be on the lookout for those as it is likely you will need to load your saved games fairly frequently!

This game is certainly not one for the faint hearted. It has the ability to make you jump out of your skin and because it is now 3D, it makes everything seem a lot more realistic. However, if you like a good bit of horror then you will definitely love this game.

Overall Resident Evil 4 remains one of the best games available to purchase today on the Wii. If you haven’t yet tried it out then what are you waiting for? The graphics are similar, if not better, than that of the Xbox 360 and with more options than ever before, you will be kept entertained for months.

Resident Evil 4 on Nintendo Wii is out now.
