Therefore the Wii version isnot a light gun in the traditional sense. This is often seen as a good thing as recent plasma and LCD televisions have trouble picking up the light signals of other light guns, but the Wiimote is designed with current technology to mind, and so suffers no such issues.
Various fresh Wii gaming releases have been bundled with the Wii light gun, including Resident Evil : Darkside Chronicles. The gun is very popular with rail shooters such as this title, and is promoted together with other new games, like Dead Space : Extraction.
It's definitelyworth checking out the Wii Light Gun ; it's lightweight, snug and truly brings back the classic feel of FPS arcade machines.
