Have More Fun with the Best Wii Fit Games

Nintendo’s Wii Fit comes bundled with the Wii Fit disk which is great for working out and getting in shape, but the fun doesn’t stop there.  Because the balance board allows the software or game being played to recognize body motion, the future of game play was wide open to change. The best Wii fit games allow you to become a world champion skier, dance your heart out, or be a pro skateboarder and so much more with Wii Fit games.

Wii Fit players can spend hours exploring the Wii Fit disk that ships with the bundles set; however, for more fun and entertainment, players should look into some of the best Wii Fit games that are have come to the market for use with the balance board.

Some of the best Wii Fit Games games are explained below:

Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip

Shaun White Snowboarding

Developed with the help of Shaun White, pro snowboarder, this game takes full advantage of the Wii balance board which reacts like a real snowboard would as you lean forward, back, right and left during the game.

You start the game as a beginner with Shaun White your mentor. As you progress and travel the world you will learn to do new and harder tricks with your snowboard.  You can travel to four areas of the world on your adventure:  Alaska, Park City, Europe and Japan. At these locations you choose a camera man to follow you as you ride the slopes, do tricks, jumps and more. Each camera man has a different, unique angle, such as snow falling on the lens as you jump, which adds more lifelike play to the game.

This game can be played with a friend or against a friend using split screen mode. It doesn’t have online multi-player options.  Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip is graphically amazing, lifelike in its motion and reaction and bound to be one of the Best Wii Fit games to hit the market.

Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party

Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party

Despite its odd sounding name, this game scores 10 stars on user reviews. With over 65 games that spoof pop culture you can have a party and play simultaneously with up to four players, or take it to party mode with eight players, you can even sabotage your friends while they are playing. You will use your body to shake, dance and wiggle your booty in a world of Rabbids causing chaos.

Played in story mode, this best of the Wii Fit games has players play through a week of television, which has been taken over by the Rabbids, even the commercials have been taken over. Using the balance board players go "Beastie Boarding" – a wild ride down an obstacle filled snow slope on top of an inverted wildebeest; or, visit the "Garden of Weeden" where you have to use the balance board to kill weeds using weed killer.

"TV Party" is the third in the popular Rayman Raving Rabbid series and is proving to be just as fun if not more.

Utilizing the pressure points of the balance board, the best Wii Fit games are not necessarily based on fitness. From snowboarding with Shaun White to riding wildebeest with the Rabbids down crazy mountain slopes players can be assured that the fun is only just beginning.

Skate It

Skate It Wii

Your goal: to become Thrasher Magazine’s Skater of the Year. Using the Wii Balance Board as a skateboard and the Wii Remote to unleash FlickIt Nintendo controls you conquer real world skate parks in your quest to gain sponsorship to travel the world skating.  Skateboarders can create their own skate park by moving around objects such as rails, ramps and benches to create a park uniquely their own.

Users report that the game is very intuitive and that programmers mimicked skateboarding to near perfection. The Wii Balance Board reacts just as the skateboard would to your movements, giving you the feeling of being at the skate park. Skateboarders are sure to consider this one of the best Wii fit games to be released.

Wii Music

Wii Musci

Unlike other music games for that are costly due to all the instruments that have to be purchased in order to play, Wii Music uses the Wii Remote, Wii Nunchuck, and the Wii Balance Board to play up to 60 different instruments and a band of up to 6 players. Also different from other music games is that Wii Music does not penalize you for not playing perfectly; in fact, you can beef up a song to your heart’s content.

Playing the instruments is as easy as mimicking the motions used to play a real one. This game takes air guitar to a whole new level. Wii Music contains sections for various types of play. In video mode, you can create a video jam to share using WiiConnect24.  There is also Mii Maestro where you are the orchestra conductor; Handbell Harmony where you and your friends are part of a handbell ensemble; Pitch Perfect to test your musical pitch; and Drum Mode.

Drum Mode uses the Wii Balance Board to simulate playing the drums. Using the Wii Remote and Wii Nunchuck as drumsticks and the Wii Balance Board as the foot pedals for the bass drum and cymbals, you get to feel what playing real drums would be like.

Wii Music’s reviews are making it one of the best Wii Fit games to come out. Players love the simplicity of the game, the ability to be able to take it to a friend’s house without having to lug around a carload of fake instruments, and the mini-games included on the disk.

Summary

Wii Fit’s Balance Board has opened up a whole new world for gamers. Some of the best Wii Fit games are some of the easiest to play. Using your natural body motion you can skateboard your way across the country or star in your own music video to share with friends.

Rockin’ with Wii Game Cheats for Guitar Hero 3

Wii Game Cheats - guitar hero 3

Red Octane, the producers of Guitar Hero basically had to produce a Wii version of the game due to the explosion of the Wii into the world. With huge successes in versions one and two, Guitar Hero 3 was a no-brainer. The Internet world was soon releasing the Wii Game Cheats for Guitar Hero 3 and family time has not been the same since.

The first, most noticeable difference the Wii version of Guitar Hero 3 has is a wireless guitar, somewhat similar to a Les Paul Gibson guitar. The guitar also acts as the Wii remote so that, for example, when you want to use a power in the game you press the trigger on the remote rather than lifting the guitar.

The Wii version of Guitar Hero 3 also has features that are not available on other gaming systems such as the rumble which makes your guitar shake to the beat of the music. The guitar will also stop playing when you play a wrong note so you will hear only the squeaks of wrong notes.

The Wii version of Guitar Hero 3 supports Nintendo’s Wi-Fi Connection but there has not yet been any information released on when you can expect to play competitive on the Internet.

In the meantime you can keep practicing and getting your skills ready by adding some features using Wii Game Cheats for Guitar Hero 3 to get you there a little faster.

To use the cheats you have to first go to “options” and then choose “cheats”. Scroll down to “Enter Cheats” and press the green button on the Wii guitar. After entering the cheat press “start” on your guitar. Note that in Guitar Hero 3 you have to actually strum the codes as if you were playing normally.

For the following cheats the chords are in parentheses and the color code is O=Orange, Y=Yellow, B=Blue, R=Red, and G=Green:

•    Air Guitar: (BY) (GY) (GY) (RB) (RB) (RY) (RY) (BY) (GY) (GY) (RB) (RB) (RY) (RY) (GY) (GY) (RY) (RY)

•    Easy Expert: (GR) (GY) (YB) (RB) (BO) (YO) (RY) (RB)  – this does not work in Career mode.

•    Hyperspeed: OBOYOBOY

•    Large Gems Cheat: G R G Y G B G O G B G Y G R G (GR) (RY) (GR) (YB) (GR) (BO) (GR) (YB) (GR) (RY) (GR) (GY)

•    No Fail: (GR) B (GR) (GY) B (GY) (RY) O (RY) (GY) Y (GY) (GR) – does not work in career mode.

•    Performance Mode: (RY) (RB) (RO) (RB) (RY) (GB) (RY) (RB)

•    Precision Mode: (GR) (GR) (GR) (RY) (RY) (RB) (RB) (YB) (YO) (YO) (GR) (GR) (GR) (RY) (RY) (RB) (RB) (YB) (YO) (YO)

•    Unlock All Songs In Quick Play: (YO) (RB) (RO) (GB) (RY) (YO) (RY) (RB) (GY) (GY) (YB) (YB) (YO) (YO) (YB) Y R (RY) R Y O

With Wii’s Guitar Hero 3 and the Wii Game Cheats for Guitar Hero 3 you will soon be rocking like a star and ready to hit the road for your first tour. Keep strumming to the beat and look for more codes in the future.

Wii House of the Dead: Overkill – Preview

Avid gamers around the world are anxiously awaiting the release of House of the Dead: Overkill for Wii. Due out in early February, 2009, Overkill is already set to take the Wii world by storm.

For players who have followed the House of the Dead Series by Sega won’t be disappointed.

Developer Headstrong was given a large creative license by Sega who checked the story and wanted to make sure that the physical game play was up to par and had the same overtones of the HOTD series.

House of the Dead Overkill - Preview 1

According to interviews with some of the production team, House of the Dead Overkill being developed for the Wii and not a public facility such as an arcade has given them much more liberty in what they could and could not do, for example language is more explicit than you would hear at a public game room.

Overkill remains a light gun game with an assortment of handguns, shotguns, and automatic rifles that you can upgrade to as your levels of skill increase.

The producers also offered one upfront hint about a new feature of the game. If a player successfully kills 50 zombies gangsta’ style – gun held sideways – they receive a 50% power increase. Not an easy task considering the Wii remote is the gun.

Entering ZombieHood

The game starts with Agent G in the parking lot of a hospital that you wouldn’t want to send a corpse to, let alone go walking around in. One solitaire mutant takes a bullet and suddenly it’s a feeding frenzy as the zombies come at you from every direction. Who rang the dinner bell?

Of course, all those zombies are the point of the game; you are there to annihilate them. The Wii remote is your pistol and with a tap of the 1 it switches to a shotgun. During game play you can earn upgrades by firing chain shots in an effort to reach the needed multiplier.

Once inside the hospital the blood flow – the graphics of which are another reason it wouldn’t be in the local arcade – continues. Nurses, doctors and patients all overcome by the mutagen. With Detective Washington by your side you continue on through the hospital taking out zombies.

House of the Dead Overkill - Preview 3

Later in the game and further into the hospital you go up against the boss of the level. Graphically speaking, she is a shocker and will probably make you shudder.

Incorporating the Wii’s special effect options such as the rumble in the controller is another aspect of Wii House of the Dead: Overkill that makes it a winner. According to the producers some enemies will be too close for comfort and if you happen to get caught you must follow prompts to get them off which means in-your-face action for the player.

Wii House of the Dead: Overkill, due in early February, 2009 combines the tried and true storyline created by Sega with the graphical development of Headstrong to create a gruesome, interactive game guaranteed to keep you awake for hours.

My Fitness Coach for Nintendo Wii – Your Personal Trainer

My Fitness Coach for Nintendo WiiNintendo has stepped up the fitness routine for Wii Fit with My Fitness Coach for Nintendo Wii.

My Fitness Coach is geared more towards a virtual personal trainer with training programs set up specifically for you, based on a much more thorough fitness evaluation than Wii Fit’s program.

MFC does not however utilize the balance board and so you have to track your weight outside the program.

My Fitness Coach contains over 450 different exercises focusing on flexibility, cardiovascular fitness, strength training and more.

This program allows you to choose your music and backgrounds that you workout to on the days you choose to workout.

Your personal trainer demonstrates each move to you and motivates you to workout.

My Fitness Coach Personal Trainer

My Fitness Coach is a very individualized program. The initial set up itself takes at least half an hour to complete.

You can set up your program to include workout equipment that you have such as barbells, stair step or stability ball. You can include them in your setup but you do not have to use them on your workout days, your virtual trainer will ask if you are using them.

During this initial set up you are asked for body weight and measurements. If you want to enter these you need to have a tape measure and scales handy, otherwise you can skip to the next part.

My Fitness Coach Personal Trainer

In order to set up a customized workout, which is why you are using this program in the first place, you will have to go through the fitness assessment. The Virtual Trainer (Maya) will guide you through a series of exercises.

First she needs to determine your heart rate both elevated and resting. She will walk you through that part.

Next, it’s time to test your strength with squats, pushups, and crunches – and you must do them the proper way. Maya will have you record how many you are able to do before saying enough already.

Finally, she tests your flexibility by having you sit on the floor and bend as far forward as you can and hold it then compare what you can accomplish to some pictures and pick out the one most like.

Maya then asks you what you want to focus on, what your goals are in terms of weight loss and what your commitment is in terms of how often you are going to exercise.

At long last Maya is finished and has your workouts all planned out for you based on the grueling 30 minutes assessment she put you through.

You are now ready to start your workouts based on the assessment. Maya will also guide you through each day of your workout.

My Fitness Coach Personal Trainer

This individualization of My Fitness Coach is the core of its popularity. For people who want to know specifically what exercises they should be doing based on their current weight and fitness level and their long-term goals.
